PDQ Express Couriers Limited has been trading since October 1989. Many customers gained in the nineties, almost always through recommendation, such as Barclays Bank, Midland Bank (now HSBC), Hilti, Mowlem (now Carillion), SITA, Barrett, Agfa, Waterstones and ARRI Media continue to use us so we must be doing something right!
When clients call us to book a job, or to find out who signed for a delivery (a POD), they are answered by a real person (not a machine), normally within four rings.
We take bookings from 08:00 Hrs to 23:00 Hrs 7 days a week. We normally pick up within 20 minutes. When we can't, our controllers say so. We are in contact with all our couriers at all times. We have recently installed the latest operational and invoicing software for the industry and are able to provide invoices to suit individual needs. Unless clients object we factor our invoices, which are either for fortnightly or monthly settlement.
We continue to believe that the customer is always right and that, in addition to efficiency, both honesty and courtesy are still appreciated. We don't make promises we can't keep. We do give straight answers to straight questions. We try to provide an excellent service and 99% of the time we succeed. We care about our clients, our staff, our riders and our drivers and we strive to retain them all.
Back in 1989, our founding members had worked as couriers for other companies. They felt that those companies were being unfair to their clients and riders/drivers alike. They wanted to start their own company that would deal with clients, riders and drivers professionally and with due respect. And that's what they did, and that's why we are still here!
